Its versatility allows it to be used for everything from creating architectural details like arches and columns to custom design elements like statues and reliefs. Additionally, POP is commonly employed in the creation of plasterboards and as a binding agent in other construction materials.

The material is called “Plaster of Paris” because it was first produced in large quantities from gypsum found near Paris. When mixed with water, it forms a thick paste that can be molded, and once it hardens, it becomes a sturdy, rock-like material.
