Plaster Of Paris (POP Works) Gypsum Works, Cornis, PVC Ceiling, False Ceiling Works
Plaster of Paris (POP) work refers to the use of a quick-setting material made from gypsum to create decorative and functional elements in construction and interior design. It is widely used for casting, molding, and creating intricate designs, such as false ceilings, cornices, wall moldings, and sculptures. Plaster of Paris is known for its ability to be easily molded into various shapes, its smooth finish, and its durability once it hardens.
In construction, POP is often applied to walls and ceilings to create smooth surfaces, cover imperfections, or add decorative accents. Its versatility allows it to be used for everything from creating architectural details like arches and columns to custom design elements like statues and reliefs. Additionally, POP is commonly employed in the creation of plasterboards and as a binding agent in other construction materials.
The material is called “Plaster of Paris” because it was first produced in large quantities from gypsum found near Paris. When mixed with water, it forms a thick paste that can be molded, and once it hardens, it becomes a sturdy, rock-like material.
